Happy Birthday Sweetheart
It’s no secret that my little miss is the love of my life, an absolute sweetheart and my reason for being….. pass the tissues :)
Being the sentimental little soul that she is anything I or my mother makes for her is hugged and treasured, so I decided to make her a secret special necklace for Valentines Day to thank her for being such a dote and tell her just how much I love her.
This little beaded doll necklace is perfect for daughters, nieces and special BFFs for birthdays, Christmas and any time of year :)

Materials Needed:
Medium sized natural wooden beads
Acrylic paints
Modge Podge
Hot Glue Gun
Necklace cord (I had this leather cord in my hoard that I upcycled from something or other, but you could use thick wool just as effectively)

How to Make a Beaded Doll Necklace
First prop two beads on paint brushes, wooden skewers or anything you find that will keep the beads steady and upright while you paint them.
-
Draw lightly with pencil the facial features and dress pattern you want to follow
-
Paint the beads using acrylic paints for strong colour. Only one coat is required.
-
-
When the paint is dry paint the beads with a coat of Modge Podge, to seal and protect. When the Modge Podge dries clear the beads will have a lovely gloss surface.
Thread the necklace cord/thread through the beads, knotting the ends together. Use a little hot glue between the beads to hold the doll together.
Then just package up the little beauty and hide it away until Feb 14th
