St Patrick’s Day is coming!! so I thought I’d kick off the green season with a little Leprechaun crafting mischief. Peg dolls and wine cork characters are a firm favourite here on MollyMoo so what a good place to start…
….and yes, Daddy Leprechaun is sporting is very fine comb-over :)

St Patrick’s Day Crafts: Here we go
For each leprechaun you need one spool and one bead
-
-
Glue the beads onto the spools, and draw on the eyes and hairlines lightly on your wee characters.
Paint the base of the spools black (the shoes!!)
-
-
Paint on the hair with brown paint (red and green mixed, acrylic paints will give you the best coverage) and use the black marker to dot on the eyes. I used a little peach colouring pencil for daddy’s nose
-
-
Cut out the felt clothes:
– a rectangle coat to wrap around the spool
– a thin strip of black for the belt
– a small square of yellow for the belt buckle
– a triangle of green felt for the hat
– orange wavy beard for daddy leprechaun
-
Glue the felt coat and belt around the spools – just one strip of glue at the join on the back is sufficient.
-
Glue the triangle felt hat at the back into a point and glue on a little while triangle accessory.
